      OPC Drum with gear

It is the central element of an laser cartridge. It does the most of the work, including mechanical work.It takes 9 full 360-degree spin-arounds to print one full page. Its damages are mostly of mechanical nature and appear as a result of either long using or a contact with other machanical elements, especially with wiper blade. How it works:The printer, after receiving an order to print, creates in its memory an imaginary picture of the page that is going to be printed. The driver of the printer, using laser flashes, inserts logical impulses on the rotating OPC drum(organic photoconductor). In such way (it is similar in case of needle printers), the puzzle of electrostaticly charged and discharged places becomes created on the drum. Those active places gather printing powder, called toner which is inside the container. The toner is then inserted on previously electrostaticly charged sheet of paper.Remember to replace the drum together with the wiper blade.
