Toner

The toner (powder) is a chemical, which has to meet many various conditions. To simplify, it is a mix of particles electrostatic charges transporting (iron) and paper blackening particles (soot). It must be adjusted to requirements of given printers manufacturer. "Universal" toners, usually in some models, give good results and they are better or worse compromise in others.
