It also improves material utilization by allowing multiple designs to be cut from a single print (requires Silhouette Studio Business Edition).

Software

The Cameo Pro MK II works with the intuitive and popular Silhouette Studio software, which can be downloaded free of charge from the manufacturer's website. The software is available in English and Polish and allows users to work with ready-made designs available in the Silhouette Design Store or create their own designs from scratch. Users have access to a wide range of design tools, all fonts installed on their computer, and a feature for converting simple raster graphics into vector images. The software supports the most popular graphic file formats, including PNG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, and TIFF. It also integrates with graphic design software such as CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator (optional paid integration).

To run Silhouette Studio properly, the following system requirements are recommended:

Software Extensions

Silhouette Studio can be upgraded with additional editions that expand its functionality and provide more advanced design capabilities. The plotter is operated using the free Silhouette Studio software. The basic version supports .studio3, .png, .jpeg, .bmp, .gif, and .tiff file formats. It allows users to create their own designs as well as edit free designs available in the built-in library.

The intuitive interface and comprehensive design tools provide extensive possibilities for creating and editing projects while making vector graphic design easy to use. For more demanding users, paid upgrades are available: Designer Edition and Business Edition.

The advanced editions support additional file formats and include professional features such as layer editing, advanced image tracing, and automatic project nesting on the material.

Designer Edition allows importing .gsd, .dxf, .svg, and .pdf files. It also offers advanced editing and design modification tools, font organization into folders, guides and layers, and the ability to open vector files created in external graphic applications such as Canva. This edition can be installed on up to three devices and supports one cutting plotter.

Business Edition expands compatibility with additional file formats, including .dst, .exp, .jef, .xxx, .ai, .eps, and .cdr, while also enabling export to .svg, .pdf, and .jpeg. It allows one computer to operate up to three Silhouette cutting plotters simultaneously and includes features designed for commercial and production workflows.
