On the 18th of October 2003 AGAWA.PL organized specialist training course for every people who deals, likes or interests in digital photography. This innovative activity was good idea of our e-shop. During 8-hours lasting meeting, every participant could get to know the following subjects:
- Digital photography - better or worse than analogy, raising among other things such issues like:
- technological differences (construction of digital camera)
- what can we obtain in these techniques (comparison of photos made digitally and analogue)
- range of complication of taking pictures
- comparison of taking pictures costs
- Right selection of digital camera - concerning for example:
- Device dedication (for unprofessionals, for professionals, or for specialist using - insurance, trade photography)
- Photographer skills - should we take pictures automatically or with manual settings?
- Technical parameters - matrix, lens (zoom, brightness), memory
- Ergonomics of digital camera - weight, easiness of hand keeping
- Essence - how to take pictures. During this stage participants started practical training, concerning for example:
- How to take good pictures? - rules of picture composition
- Influence of lighting on photos quality ( when we can use a flash lamp, screens and studio lamp).
- Kinds of frames - close-up, wide-angle, macro, point, American plan.
- What should be placed on picture - what was the point of photographer, and what can see the viewers?
- Methods of photo treatment - program filters, colour correction, collage, retouch.
- Copying of photos to computer - card reader, USB cable.
- Selection of suitable programs for preview and treatment of photographs - comparison in a way of potentiality, complication of operating and price.
- Photos correction by using popular programs ( retouch of a photo).
- Creating of artistic pictures - using program filters (changeover of coloristic and hue temperature).
- Photo-montage in 3 minutes time.
- Rules of photo printing on paper - selection of printer, paper and driver setups.
- Should we print photos or give them back to laboratory (costs, time, effects scope).
- Selection of suitable printer - quality and print costs.
- Preparing of output material (selection of right resolution and type of graphic file, compression range settings).
- Choice of paper as print media - papers and photographic foils - sorts overview - what effects can we obtain with this kind of media - test printouts.
- Storing of photos for the future - recording of Photo CD albums, paper albums, methods of printouts preventing, internet galleries.
- Printouts storing - kinds of albums - suitable album for the different photos (technical parameters).
- Photos preventing (solutions and sprays for printouts preventing, protective foils).
The last meeting point was photographic shop, it means checking of theoretical reasons of professional digital photography in open air and distribution of certificates for participants of this specialist training course.
