Hot stamping foils (hot-print foils) are used to enhance DTF prints made with special DTF film, laser printer heat-transfer prints, or sublimation prints on cotton with powder. A thin hot stamping foil is pressed into the print using heat, producing an eye-catching, metallic effect. Thermal transfer foils make it possible to achieve a gilding effect without the need for specialized, expensive machinery. By using the hot-stamping method, you can achieve a metallic finish on prints made with either a DTF printer or a laser printer and a heat press — no plotter required.
  • Hot stamping foil dimensions: 30 cm × 12 m roll
  • The hot-foil embossing film is designed for gilding heat-transfers on T-shirts, hoodies, bags, and other fabric substrates in any colour
  • Hot-print foil works very well with DTF foil for gilding and with Laser Dark No Cut foil
  • Metallic hot-stamping foil can be used to cover even small design elements — ornaments, lettering, and other shapes
  • It is perfect when you want to achieve fine, detailed metallic patterns. Metalized thermal-transfer foil does not change the texture of the print, which remains flexible, pleasant to the touch, and comfortable to wear
  • Fabrics with applied foil can be washed at 30–40°C using mild detergents
  • A wide range of foil colors is available — check the foil color chart

  • Application instructions for DTF foil used for Gold Effects:
  • 1. Prepare your design in black using CMYK colors (Black = 100% Cyan, 100% Magenta, 100% Yellow, and 100% Black). There should be no white in the design or print
    2. Free spaces in the design should be at least 6 mm
    3. Fonts smaller than 17 pt are not recommended
    4. Wear latex gloves – fingerprints can affect print quality
    5. Print on the coated/rough side of the film
    6. Apply DTF heat transfer powder and heat the transfer according to the manufacturer’s instructions:
    - Ovens: max. 135°C (275°F)
    - Powder applicators with infrared heating: max. 100°C (212°F)
    7. Transfer the print to the fabric: 160–170°C, 30 seconds, high pressure, peel the film cold.
    8. Apply Hot Stamping foil according to the foil instructions: 160–170°C, 40 seconds, high pressure, peel the foil cold

Application instructions for laser printing or sublimation on cotton with powder:

      1. Make a black print on a T-shirt or other material according to the application instructions - for this we recommend film Laser Dark No Cut

Note: Remember to print only in black - other colors will not be thoroughly covered by the film
      2. Cover the entire print surface with the selected hot-print foil and put a silicone protective paper on it ( Matt Finish or Anti Stick )
      3. Heat the foil into the print at 150 oC in 30 seconds
      4. Remove the foil after it has completely cooled down (cold)
