      Laser Printers and All-in-One Devices

      Laser Printers

Laser printers are a proven solution for printing in offices, schools, and homes—anywhere speed, quality, and low operating costs matter. In this category, you will find both compact monochrome models and efficient multifunction devices equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, a scanner, and a copier in a single unit.

      Types of Laser Printers

The basic division includes monochrome and color devices. Black-and-white (monochrome) models, which use a single toner cartridge, are ideal for environments where invoices, reports, and text documents are printed on a daily basis. Color laser printers operate using the CMYK color model and require four separate toner cartridges. While this results in higher operating costs, it also provides better quality for graphics and color prints.

A separate category consists of multifunction printers (MFPs), which combine a printer, scanner, and copier in one device. Among them, Brother printers are particularly popular due to the durability of their imaging drums and the wide availability of compatible replacement consumables.

Consider models with automatic duplex printing, which can reduce paper consumption by up to 50% when printing longer documents.

How to choose a laser printer

The first step is to determine your needs and how the printer will be used. It is worth comparing several key parameters:

      • Print speed (PPM): The number of pages printed per minute determines overall productivity. For home use, 20–25 ppm is usually sufficient, while offices with multiple users should consider models offering 30+ ppm.
      • Print resolution (DPI): A standard resolution of up to 300 DPI is adequate for most documents. Presentations and marketing materials may require a higher resolution of 300–600 DPI or more.
      • Duplex printing: Automatic duplex printing is standard in most office-oriented models. Manual duplex printing slows down workflow and is suitable only for occasional use.
      • Wi-Fi connectivity: Useful when multiple users share the printer and essential for printing from mobile devices.
      • Operating costs: Compare toner prices and cartridge yields. A toner cartridge rated for 3,000 pages is generally more cost-effective per printed page than a basic 1,000-page cartridge, even if its purchase price is higher.

What to consider before buying a printer ?

In more affordable models, the imaging drum (OPC drum) is integrated with the toner cartridge and replaced together with it. In higher-end devices, the drum is a separate component, which helps reduce operating costs during intensive use.

Before purchasing a printer, it is also worth checking the availability of compatible replacement toner cartridges, as the cost of original consumables can sometimes exceed the purchase price of an entry-level printer.

Another important factor is paper tray capacity. Models with a paper tray that holds 250 sheets or more require less frequent refilling.
