The Silhouette sheet feeder (compatible with Portrait 3/4 and Cameo 4/5) is a practical solution designed to automate the cutting process and significantly speed up workflow with your plotter. It enables batch cutting of multiple sheets without the need for manual feeding.
The device allows loading up to 20 sheets at once, making it ideal for higher production volumes and repetitive cutting tasks. Automatic material feeding helps save time and increases overall productivity, especially when processing multiple orders.
The feeder supports A4 and US Letter formats and is designed for sheet materials with a specific rigidity, such as sticker paper and other compatible media. When used with Silhouette Studio software, it allows precise control of the cutting process, including automatic repeat jobs and barcode-based workflows.
Installation and setup instructions (manufacturer guidelines)
- Place the plotter onto the feeder base
- Attach the feeder on the opposite side of the base so it remains stable during operation
- Connect the plotter and feeder using the linking cable
- Connect a USB cable from the feeder to the plotter
- Connect the second USB cable from the feeder to your computer
- Turn on the device using the Power button
- Load sheets onto the top tray of the feeder
- Set the number of repetitions in Silhouette Studio
- Start the cutting process
Important information from the manufacturer
A USB Type A–B cable is required for proper operation and may need to be purchased separately.
The feeder works best with materials between 0.18–0.26 mm thickness. The maximum capacity is up to 20 sheets, depending on material thickness (or a total thickness of up to 4.4 mm).
